Patient of the Month - Pepper Our March "Patient of the Month" is our very own Pepper! Pepper begons to our practice manager Carrie and receptionist Jazmin and is notorious for getting up to all sorts of mischief! Pepper has a habit of eating things she shouldn't and iti s a tricky task keeping anything small and ingestable out of reach of her prying paws! When Carrie noticed that Pepper was subdued and off her breakfast last week it set the alarm bells ringing...
Patient of the Month - Little Boy This handsome chap is our "October patient of the month" - Little Boy! He is a mostly white cat, with a little bit of black, a whole lot of personality, and a story worth sharing!
Patient of the Month - Liono Meet Liono! Liono was brought to the practice as an emergency after being found collapsed in the neighbour's garden. He was severely dehydrated, hypothermic, and in a critical condition. After imaging and bloods, he was diagnosed with severe pyelonephritis - an infection in his kidneys. Liono needed to stay at the practice for a few days to receive intensive treatment and to be carefully monitored by our team. Fast-forward to now and Liono has made a fantastic recovery, returning back home to his loving family. Read on to hear his amazing story - Liono is one tough cookie!
Patient of the Month - Kylie Meet Kylie, our May "Patient of the Month"! This sweet pug came to us for surgery to remove multiple bladder stones and she handled everything like a true champ. Patient of the Month - Frankie Meet the gorgeous Frankie, our April "Patient of the Month"! Frankie the French Bulldog came to see us this month for an operation on her ear to treat an aural haematoma (a blood-filled pocket inside the pinnae of her ear). Our amazing surgeon, Gabby N, assessed Frankie before the operation and advised we could also perform corrective surgery to help improve Frankie's breathing. Frankie's owners agreed to go ahead with the additional surgery (BOAS surgery) which aimed to significantly improve Frankie's ability to breathe normally. Read on to see her story...
Raffa Patient of the Month! Meet Raffa, our March "Patient of the Month"! Like many senior pets, Raffa suffers with osteoarthritis and visits us monthly for his Librela injections. Raffa is always the best boy for his visits so we wanted to celebrate him as "Patient of the Month" and share how Librela is helping him to live his golden years to the fullest!
Patient of the Month - Ginger Meet Ginger, our February "Patient of The Month"! Ginger had uncontrolled hyperthyroidism - a condition where his body makes too much thyroid hormone. This causes an increased metabolic rate, resulting in vomiting, diarrhoea, tachycardia, weight loss and excitability. As you can see, despite being on thyroid medication, his thyroid level was out of control and was greater than 237nmol/L (normal is below 30).
