Nick Bartlett

BVM&S MRCVS – Partner

Nick qualified from The Royal (Dick) Veterinary School (Edinburgh University) in 1980 and has been with Meadow Lane Veterinary Centre since 1985.

He is an extremely experienced and talented clinician and surgeon who enjoys the variety of veterinary work and seeing clients and their pets. He has particular interest in orthopaedics and reptile medicine.

He lives with his wife Sue, has 7 children, 4 still living at home, plus the family’s dog, 2 cats, guinea pigs and 2 crested geckos.

In his spare time he likes to read, especially Fantasy/Sci-Fi novels, plus regularly referees Rugby, seniors on Saturdays, juniors and girls on Sundays.

Jenny Coulburn


Jenny graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2002 having wanted to become a vet since early childhood. She worked with small & farm animals before joining Meadow Lane Veterinary Centre in 2005 and she became a partner in 2008.

She is particularly interested in surgery & ultrasound diagnostic techniques and she has an additional qualification in small animal surgery.

Outside work, she likes to rear sheep & other animals but most of her time is taken up looking after her two young boys.

Julie Glenister


Julie graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2009. She worked in a busy small animal practice in Derby before joining us here in November 2011.

Her main interests are soft tissue surgery and internal medicine.

Out of work most of Julie’s time is taken up with her dog Tinker, both enjoying long walks and fun agility.

Jenny Lothion-Roy


Jenny graduated from the University of Nottingham in summer 2016, although she started working at Meadow Lane as a part-time receptionist in 2012 whilst studying for her veterinary degree. She stared in her role as a Veterinary Surgeon in September 2016.

Her area of special interest is internal medicine, particularly neurology and endocrinology.

In her spare time Jenny enjoys the theatre, catching up with friends and long walks in the Leicestershire countryside with her husband and dog Charlie.

Holly Broom


Holly was born in Hong Kong and moved to the UK with her family when she began studying veterinary medicine at the University of Nottingham. She graduated in 2012, after which she carried out a rotating internship at a veterinary hospital in Derby, where she explored various areas of small animal medicine and surgery.

She has developed an interest in imaging, anaesthesia and soft tissue surgery. In her spare time Holly enjoys staying active and especially enjoys walking and meeting with friends.

She currently has a naughty little black cat who likes to stalk inanimate objects.
