Claire Legg

Practice Assistant

Claire has worked in the Veterinary industry for 20 years and joined Meadow Lane Vets back in 2007. Claire assists in many areas of the practice behind the scenes, helping to keep Meadow Lane running! Outside of work Claire can be found looking after her elderly dogs Crash and Ru as well as her Chinchilla. Claire is also a keen member of the Caravan club and spends her spare weekends off on adventures with friends, family and the fur babies.

Alicia Handley

Practice Assistant

Alicia originally started her Veterinary Career as a Receptionist. Since then, she has progressed to Practice Assistant. Alicia is a very hard working and valued member of our administrative team.

Outside of work Alicia likes spending time with her family.

Jaden Lorimer

Receptionist

Jaden has worked at Meadow Lane Vets since March 2023. She is always dedicated to making both owners and pets feel welcome in the Practice. Her favourite part of the job is greeting pets and owners, and giving dogs a sneaky treat while they wait.

Outside of work Jaden likes to spend time with two cats Walter and Obi and catching up on the latest Netflix show.

Urszula Wojciechowska

Receptionist

Urszula joined Meadow Lane Vets in January 2024, after deciding on a career change to pursue her love for animals. Outside of work Ursula loves spending time with her daughter and cat Jinxie. You will find Urszula fuelling her other life-long passion for anything collectable, seeking out rare finds at local car boot sales and antique fairs.

Lisa Evans

Receptionist

Lisa joined our team in 2024. Lisa previously worked as a GP receptionist as well as gaining a qualification in Pharmacy. She has been an excellent addition to the team in such a small time.

In her spare time Lisa loves her Bengal Cat Merlin and loves spending time enjoying barbeques with her daughter.

Beth Hibbitt

Receptionist

With many years in the Veterinary industry, Beth is a wonderful addition to the Meadow Lane team and is passionate about her work.

Outside of work Beth is devoted to her two labradors Lucy and May. She enjoys going on caravan adventures with her husband, exploring new destinations, especially the beautiful beaches in Wales!

Sophie Zurawliw

Receptionist

Sophie started her Veterinary career at Meadow Lane vets and she is a friendly and enthusiastic member of the team.

Sophie has 2 dogs, a Hungarian Vizsla -Belle and a sight hound cross called Oakley.

Sophie likes to spend her spare time taking the dogs on adventures in the Peak District, photography and football!

Ellie Benskin

Veterinary Care Assistant

Starting her veterinary career in August 2023 as an animal care assistant here at Meadow Lane Vets. From April 2024, Ellie has entered the next step in her career becoming a student Veterinary Nurse. Eventually gaining her RVN status is a big passion and ambition for Ellie and we all look forward to seeing her grow and develop her nursing.

Outside of work Ellie likes to spend quality time with her friends and family as well as dog Cocoa and her cat Oreo and Millie.

Julie Williams

Veterinary Care Assistant

Julie has over 25 years of animal care experience. Julie has experience working in rescue centres as well as spending time as an army dog assistant. Since then, she has worked at multiple Practices within the veterinary industry allowing her to gain her veterinary care assistant qualification. Julie is a valued member of the Meadow Lane team, providing gold standard levels of patient care to any of your pets coming through the door.

In her spare time Julie spends time with her daughter, 7 cats, snake and koi fish.

Katie Wolska

Veterinary Care Assistant

Previously an Insolvency paralegal, after finishing her law degree, Katie decided on a career change. Beginning her Veterinary career in January 2024 as an animal care assistant, Katie is gaining the necessary veterinary skills to begin her Nurse training. Outside of work Katie is an avid horse rider and spending time with friends, family and dog Cassie.
