Microchipping can help you get reunited with your lost pet.
Microchips are about the size of a grain of rice and are inserted under the skin on the scruff of the neck.
Microchips are easily inserted and each microchip contains a unique number that links via computer to your details so that you can quickly be identified as the owner.
If your pet is found it will usually be taken to either a rescue centre, a charity, the local authority dog warden or a Veterinary Surgery. All such places usually have hand-held scanners that can be used to detect and read a chip. If a chip is found then the details you provided at the time of chipping can be used to contact you and reunite you with your pet.
If you are interested in microchipping, or need to update your details for an already-chipped pet, please contact us on 01509 212437.
